Black and White and 50 Shades of Grey

A 2015 spring trend is the black and white dress. Really, do black and white dresses ever go out of style? After the little black dress this dress is my next go-to staple. The dress i'm modelling today was purchased last summer at Sears ( yes..really...Sears). Sears is one of those stores that is a bit of a hit-and-miss for me. The plus-size clothing can be downright matronly at times with dull colours and prints. There always seems to be a rack of strange animal print garments with too much spangly bling. I've never been a person that could wear full body animal print. I prefer to wear it in small accessories like shoes or handbags. Too much and I get flashbacks of Edith Prickley from SCTV. Yet, last summer I found this Jessica number and it did indeed fit in all the right places. I'm hoping in the future we can see Sears find its own identity once more as a Canadian shopping institution. Target was cutting into its already narrow margins in the fight for the shrinking demographic of the middle class shopper. Which we now know was a failed attempt by Target. I have also noticed that the clothing at Sears has not been arranged in a

pleasing manner and I need to search through racks of clothes to find a frock. I'm not a fan of this shopping style. It is a little too much like a rummage sale. That being said....once and a while I am surprised. I do LOVE this dress. I've also included some other great dresses below.
